Water bag stays tight, even if you throw it around!

Eine Bereicherung des Homegym. Das Power Bag ist robust und hat eine ansprechende Optik. Für die Befüllung braucht es etwas Geduld, bislang konnte ich nicht feststellen dass Wasser oder Luft ungewünscht austreten. Ich würde mir mehr Griffmöglichkeiten wünschen, insbesondere fehlen mir welche an den langen Seiten.

...so ein "Waterbag" als Sandsackersatz. Hanteln und Gewichte sind in der jetzigen Coronasituation ja fast unbezahlbar. Ich wusste erst nicht, welche Größe ich wählen sollte...Ich habe mich dann für die mittlere Größe entschieden und bin damit mehr als "bedient". Ich wollte mir erst die "L" Variante holen um Kniebeugen und Kreuzheben zu machen, glaube aber, dass die große Größe für 90% der Leute Overkill wäre. Warum? Durch das Wasser, was bei jeder Bewegung stark hin und her schwappt und den Sack bzw. das Gewicht instabil macht (was gewollt ist) wirkt jedes Kilo ungleich schwerer als das stabile, konzentrierte Gewicht einer Eisenhantel. Ist schwer zu beschreiben, ich habe das total unterschätzt. Ich habe momentan knapp 30l Wasser im "M" Sack und kann damit gut Frontbeugen machen. Ich habe somit auch noch 20kg "Wasser nach oben". Im Studio habe ich mit ca. 70kg Frontbeugen gemacht und die 30kg jetzt fühlen sich wie 60kg auf der Langhantel an. Eben ein "nasser Sack"...Für schweres Rudern oder Kreuzheben sind die 30l vielleicht etwas leicht (ich habe 130kg als mittleres Trainingsgewicht bei Kreuzheben gehabt), aber ich mache mit dem Gewicht jetzt einbeiniges Kreuzheben mit gestreckten Beinen. Oder Rudern direkt nach Klimmzügen. Auch das fühlt sich sehr effektiv -und schwer genug- an. Nun ist Sandsack - oder Wassersack - Training grundsätzlich ohnehin anders anzusehen als klassisches Training mit der Hantel, eben aufgrund der gewollten Instabilität. Coremuskeln und der Kreislauf werden enorm bedient! Mit 80 oder 90 kg im Waterbag wäre man dann auf Kreuzheben, Bear Hug Squats, Farmers Walk und Rudern beschränkt, umsetzen für Kniebeugen oder Frontbeugen kriegen die meisten damit nicht mehr hin - ich auch nicht. Auch ist der Sack in Größe "L" dann noch voluminöser und wird sich, selbst wenn man ihn hoch kriegt, schwer für Beugen halten lassen, zumal die Oberfläche des Sacks eher rutschig ist. Wenn man eher auf Kraftausdauer aus ist, oder Ausfallschritte machen will und all die Schwung- und unilateralen Übungen, die man mit einem Sandsack machen kann, würde sogar die "S" Variante reichen, die ja schon der schwersten der Konkurrenz entspricht und etwas handlicher in den Abmessungen ist. Also ich finde die Idee super und kann damit effektiv trainieren. Wenn ich 50l/kg für Frontkniebeugen erreichen sollte, bin ich mir sicher, kehre ich stärker ins Studio zurück als zuvor. Und sollte der Lockdown länger dauern und 50kg zu leicht werden, dann versuche ich mich an Ausfallschritten oder Split Squats zur Vorermüdung. Also noch viel Luft oder Wasser nach oben :)

...a "waterbag" as a sandbag replacement. Dumbbells and weights are almost priceless in the current corona situation. At first I didn't know which size to choose... I then decided on the medium size and I'm more than "served" with it. I was going to get the "L" size first for squats and deadlifts, but I think the large size would be overkill for 90% of people. Why? Due to the water, which sloshes back and forth with every movement and makes the bag or the weight unstable (which is intentional), every kilo seems much heavier than the stable, concentrated weight of an iron dumbbell. It's hard to describe, I totally underestimated it. I currently have almost 30l of water in the "M" bag and can do front bends with it. So I still have 20kg "water up". In the studio I did front bends with about 70kg and the 30kg now feel like 60kg on the barbell. Just a "wet bag"... For heavy rows or deadlifts the 30L might be a little light (I've had 130kg as my average deadlift training weight), but I'm doing single leg straight leg deadlifts with the weight now. Or row right after pull-ups. This also feels very effective -and heavy enough-. Sandbag - or water bag - training is fundamentally different from classic training with dumbbells anyway, precisely because of the intentional instability. Core muscles and the circulation are served enormously! With 80 or 90 kg in the waterbag you would be limited to deadlifts, bear hug squats, farmers walk and rowing, but most people can't do squats or front bends - neither do I. Also, the size "L" sack is even more voluminous and, even if you get it up, will be difficult to hold for bending, especially since the surface of the sack is rather slippery. If you are more interested in strength endurance, or want to do lunges and all the swing and unilateral exercises that you can do with a punching bag, even the "S" variant would be sufficient, which is already the heaviest of the competition and a bit more manageable in the dimensions is. I think the idea is great and I can train effectively with it. If I do hit 50L/kg on the front squat I'm sure I'll come back to the gym stronger than before. And if the lockdown lasts longer and 50kg is too light, then I try to do lunges or split squats to pre-exert yourself. So still a lot of air or water up :)

Habe Größe L bestellt. Mehrere Kammern wäre besser gewesen um das Gewicht besser zu bestimmen. Auch Beispiele zur Durchführung von Übungen wäre nett gewesen, denn nicht nur erfahrene Sportler bestellen sich sowas.

Ordered size L. Several chambers would have been better to better determine the weight. Examples of how to carry out exercises would have been nice, because not only experienced athletes order something like this.

Der Hydropow von Capital Sports mich im Urlaub nach Schweden begleitet. In der Nähe liegt ein See, wodurch genügend Füllmaterial zur Verfügung stand. Das Teil unter Wasser halten und auf eine schnelle Füllung warten funktionierte leider nicht so gut. Nur langsam gluckert das Wasser durch die Öffnung. Besser geht es mit einer Gießkanne, wenn man den Sack senkrecht hinstellt. Ich habe den 90l Sack erworben, zum einen weil er günstiger war und zum anderen weil ich sehen wollte was möglich ist. Bis zu einem gewissen Grad lässt sich die Tonne noch für verschiedene Übungen nutzen. Das hin und her schwappende Wasser bringt dabei extra Bewegung mit ins Spiel. Das macht richtig Laune wenn man beispielsweise mit dem gefüllten Hydropow durch die Gegend läuft. Ab einem höheren Füllgrad wird das jedoch unmöglich oder nur eingeschränkt machbar. Dann gehen nur noch Kreuzheben und Kniebeugen. Im Prinzip sind mir daher die 90l definitiv zu viel. Aber das Gewicht ist skalierbar, daher kein Problem. Die Luftpumpe hat immerhin für vier Anwendungen gehalten. Die kann ich aber reparieren. Zur Not kann man jedoch selbst aufpusten. Alles in allem ein geniales Tool welches durch Eigenbewegung und Skalierbarkeit überzeugt.

The Capital Sports Hydropow accompanied me on vacation to Sweden. There is a lake nearby, so there was enough filling material available. Unfortunately, holding the part under water and waiting for a quick filling didn't work so well. The water gurgles slowly through the opening. It works better with a watering can if you stand the sack upright. I bought the 90l bag because it was cheaper and because I wanted to see what was possible. To a certain extent, the barrel can still be used for various exercises. The water sloshing back and forth brings extra movement into play. It really puts you in a good mood when you walk around with the filled Hydropow, for example. From a higher degree of filling, however, this becomes impossible or only feasible to a limited extent. Then it's just deadlifts and squats. In principle, the 90l are definitely too much for me. But the weight is scalable, so no problem. After all, the air pump lasted for four uses. But I can fix it. However, you can blow it up yourself if you need to. All in all, an ingenious tool that convinces with its own movement and scalability.

Es gibt nicht viele Anbieter für Water Bags. Dieses Produkt überzeugt voll. Sehr robust, gute Griffe, leicht befüllbar. Für jeden, der wirklich seine Rumpfmuskulatur trainieren will, gehört dieser Bag ins Portfolio.
