The Skytec STX-95 is a DJ controller with an impressive range of applications that can bring a whole load of other equipment into play.

The controller features an MP3 compatible dual CD player and two USB inputs. In addition, the Skytec provides input options for classic DJ equipment such as turntables and CD players.

Building great DJ sets on the Skytec STX-95 is made easy with its pitching, cueing and looping functions. The two large jog wheels allow for live scratching of MP3s.

The unit's clear and intuitive controls allow for quick access to all of its functions. Additionally, you can always keep a close eye on what's going on in your set by using the two large LCD displays.

Transport, set up and take down is no problem with the two recessed side handles.

The Power Dynamics PDSM8 studio monitors offer precise andclear sound characteristics for near-field and mid-field monitoring. Itsexcellent frequency separation with the help of an integrated crossover networkand effective bass reflex design offer the user easy placement of anyinstrument or nuance in the acoustic sound space and perfect mixingpossibilities during the production process.

The active speaker features its own amplifier that has beenoptimally designed to work with the monitor to offer the best possible soundcharacteristics regardless of signal or room conditions. This combination ofactive and passive speaker allows for an output of 60W RMS. The 8" (20cm)bass driver on both monitor speakers has been built from the high-qualityaramid Kevlar.

You might ask yourself, why Kevlar? Kevlar features a verygood relationship between stability and weight, and this is why it has beenused in bulletproof vests. The bass drivers on the Power Dynamics PDSM8 aren’tbulletproof, but they do get an important strength from the Kevlar to offer100% distortion-free bass response even at peak levels. The Kevlar drivers’lightweight allows for quick response from the material for a clear sound evenat the lowest frequencies that still maintains its midrange.

For their own protection, the Power Dynamics monitors areequipped with overload protection to ensure the longest product life possible.Both near-field speakers are of course magnetically shielded to preventinterference from PC monitor output signals or other equipment nearby.
