[Returns: -15%] Mammutgrow Raised Growing Bed

Così bella che appena è emersa dal suo scatolone è stato amore a prima vista. Ne ho subito ordinato un’altra. Putroppo questo tipo di fioriera/aiuola rialzata soffre di un evidente difetto di progettazione: ha le gambe cave, quindi quattro enormi fori in corrispondenza degli angoli del contenitore. Per non sprecare prezioso terriccio, queste gambe si potrebbero anche riempire con sassi o ciottoli di argilla espansa. Il vero problema però è che le gambe non sono forate alla base, per cui l’acqua delle innaffiature stagnerà necessariamente dentro le gambe fino alla fine dei tempi. Ho scritto al produttore (Blumfeldt), che ha gentilmente risposto e mi ha pure mandato saluti da Berlino, ma sul problema specifico non sa che dire e suggerisce di sentire un fioraio (!). Hmm. Altri modelli di fioriera in plastica hanno le gambe cave, ma sempre forate alla base. Nei modelli progettati meglio, i fori sono chiusi ermeticamente da un tappo che si può scegliere di tenere (se la fioriera va posta all’interno, ad esempio) o togliere (se la fioriera sta all’aperto). Notate che, in tutti questi casi, le gambe sono l’unico modo per far defluire l’acqua in eccesso. La fioriera Blumfeldt, al contrario, prevede anche un foro centrale chiuso da un tappo. Quindi mi pare che abbiamo due opzioni: 1️⃣ chiudere le aperture nel contenitore alla bell’e meglio con dei fogli impermeabili che verranno poi coperti dal terriccio. Non so con quali risultati, visto che l’acqua è famosa per la sua tendenza a insinuarsi ovunque; 2️⃣ forare noi stessi i piedi di questa fioriera. Non so con quali risultati, visto che il materiale è un particolare miscuglio di plastiche, pietra e legno. Blumfeldt: la vostra fioriera è solida, stabile, elegante, bellissima da guardare e da toccare. È pure piuttosto cara. Rendetela perfetta riempiendo le gambe o chiudendo le aperture ai quattro angoli del contenitore. Se per motivi di produzione o stoccaggio questo fosse troppo scomodo, almeno forate la base delle gambe e metteteci un tappo rimovibile. Dato che queste fioriere sono decorative anche vuote e che l’amore è cieco, 5 stelle. P. S. Unfortunately this type of raised bed/planter suffers from an obvious design flaw: it has hollow legs, so four huge holes at the corners of the container. In order not to waste precious soil, these legs could also be filled with stones or pebbles of expanded clay. The real problem, however, is that the legs are not perforated at the base, so the watering water will necessarily stagnate inside the legs until the end of time. I wrote to the manufacturer (Blumfeldt), who kindly replied and also sent me greetings from Berlin, but does not know what to say about the specific problem and suggests contacting a florist (!). Hmm. Other models of plastic planters have hollow legs, but always perforated at the base. In the better designed models, the holes are hermetically sealed with a cap that you can choose to keep (if the planter is to be placed indoors, for example) or remove (if the planter is outdoors). Note that, in all these cases, the legs are the only way to let excess water drain away. The Blumfeldt planter, on the other hand, also has a central hole closed by a cap. So it seems to me that we have two options: 1️⃣ close the openings in the container as best as possible with waterproof sheets that will then be covered with soil. I don't know with what results, since water is famous for its tendency to insinuate itself everywhere; 2️⃣ drill the feet of this planter ourselves. I don't know with what results, since the material is a particular mix of plastics, stone and wood. Blumfeldt: your planter is solid, stable, elegant, beautiful to look at and to touch. It is also quite expensive. Make it perfect by filling the legs or closing the openings at the four corners of the container. If for production or storage reasons this is too inconvenient, at least drill a hole in the base of the legs and put a removable cap. Since these planters are decorative even empty and love is blind, 5 stars. PS I choose what to buy based on other people's reviews, and I love the authors of informative and honest reviews. Bin angenehm überrascht wurden. Gutes Pflanzbeet, angenehme Breite und Tiefe. Trotz Bepflanzung noch verrückbar, da der Kasten kein hohes Eigengewicht hat. Sieht aus wie Tonbetonmischung und nicht billig, gefällt mir. Hätte gern noch einen weiteren Kasten bestellt. Aber 2 Sterne Abzug, weil der graue Kasten innerhalb eines Tages um 15Euro teurer geworden ist, der dunkle Kasten 15Euro billiger. Da lässt der Händler wohl eigene Willkür walten. Für mich nicht besonders kundenfreundlich. Da ich dies nicht unterstützen möchte, werde ich keinen weiteren Kasten bestellen.

Am pleasantly surprised. Good plant bed, pleasant width and depth. Can still be moved despite planting, as the box does not have a high dead weight. Looks like clay concrete mix and not cheap, I like it. Would have liked to have ordered another box. But 2 stars deduction, because the gray box has become 15 euros more expensive within one day, the dark box 15 euros cheaper. Since the dealer can probably exercise their own arbitrariness. Not particularly customer friendly for me. Not wanting to support this, I will not be ordering another set.

Prese per le erbe aromatiche. Arrivate nei tempi previsti ben imballate. Solide e robuste, non richiedono montaggio. Forse non troppo economiche ma in linea con i prezzi a cui si trovano altri prodotti simili e anche meno resistenti.

Herb sockets. Arrived on time, well packaged. Solid and sturdy, no assembly required. Maybe not too cheap but in line with the prices at which other similar and even less resistant products are found.

Sehr schönes Hochbeet. Modern, stabil. Ich habe 1 für Gemüse bestellt. Ich war so begeistet vom Aussehen und Qualität, dass ich ein 2. für Blumen bestellt habe.

Nicht so plastikmäßig weich und leicht, aber auch nicht zu schwer. Einfach perfekt. Lieferung erfolgte super schnell und sorgfältig verpackt. Absolut empfehlenswert.
